Hey, avete mai preso un metrò a Parigi?

   It was my first trip alone. I felt very independent and I loved it! It was a great experience to speak only in English during one week and communicate with an Italian who doesn’t speak French at all. I liked practice this langage and that helped me to speak English better. Then, the country makes me so happy. I was fond of mountains, lacs, hot and sun! The life is very different for Italians teenagers and it was cool to see them and compare my life. I enjoyed Italian food too: pizza, pasta, ice cream and tiramisu. I think I’m very lucky to have live all this experience at my age.

Hi, I'm Carlotta,

I made an exchange with a French girl one year younger than me named Sterenn. This was my first experience of this kind and I must say that I was very satisfied. It all started with some short messages in English with Sterenn, a video call also with the parents, but vacation after vacation at the end of July I left for this experience, I didn't know what to expect and this excited me a lot.
I took the train from Ivrea and went to Turin to the flixbus station, it was midnight and a half and my bus arrived, I was completely alone and I was waiting for 19 hours of stopover in Paris, after many adventures I arrived in Rennes a city of Brittany. There was a whole family waiting for me, very smiling, greeting me. We traveled for an hour and then we arrived in this small village surrounded by hills. I was immediately fascinated, it was all different, and as the days passed I became aware of it more and more.
I was lucky enough to relive a week with two parents and a large, very close family. For me it was also a novelty to live in a place away from young people where you can have fun with your family. This week they took me to visit Rennes, see a photo exhibition, swim in the ocean and even a tent with Sterenn's friends. My week ended and they took me back to the station. I realized everything when I arrived in Paris after problems with the buses and after taking a metro alone for the first time in Paris, I got off at my stop and when I went out I found myself on a bridge over the Seine, at that moment I felt free and a strength, I had made it.
Back in Italy I also realized how much it had helped me to speak only English one week and I felt really proud. A week later I went to pick her up at the station and we spent a week here in Ivrea, I let her experience what I normally did, I took her to Turin, Milan and we also spent 3 days on Lake Garda with my mother. I must say that overall it was a great experience that I would do another thousand times.

È stato il mio primo viaggio da sola. Mi sono sentita molto indipendente e mi è piaciuto molto! È stata una grande esperienza parlare solo in inglese per una settimana e comunicare con un italiano che non parla affatto francese. Mi è piaciuto praticare questa lingua e questo mi ha aiutato a parlare meglio l'inglese. Poi, il Paese mi ha reso molto felice. Mi piacevano le montagne, i laghi, il caldo e il sole! La vita è molto diversa per gli adolescenti italiani ed è stato bello vederli e confrontare la mia vita. Mi è piaciuto anche il cibo italiano: pizza, pasta, gelato e tiramisù. Penso di essere molto fortunata ad aver vissuto tutte queste esperienze alla mia età.

Ciao, sono Carlotta,

ho fatto uno scambio con una ragazza francese di un anno più giovane di me di nome Sterenn. Era la mia prima esperienza di questo tipo e devo dire che sono rimasta molto soddisfatta. Tutto è iniziato con qualche breve messaggio in inglese con Sterenn, una videochiamata anche con i genitori, ma vacanza dopo vacanza a fine luglio sono partita per questa esperienza, non sapevo cosa aspettarmi e questo mi ha emozionato molto.
Ho preso il treno da Ivrea e sono andata a Torino alla stazione flixbus, era mezzanotte e mezza e il mio autobus è arrivato, ero completamente sola e mi aspettavano 19 ore di scalo a Parigi, dopo tante peripezie sono arrivata a Rennes una città della Bretagna. C'era un'intera famiglia ad aspettarmi, molto sorridente, che mi salutava. Abbiamo viaggiato per un'ora e poi siamo arrivati in questo piccolo villaggio circondato da colline. Sono rimasta subito affascinata, era tutto diverso, e con il passare dei giorni me ne sono resa conto sempre di più.
Ho avuto la fortuna di rivivere una settimana con due genitori e una famiglia numerosa e molto unita. Per me è stata anche una novità vivere in un posto lontano dai giovani, dove ci si può divertire con la propria famiglia. Questa settimana mi hanno portato a visitare Rennes, a vedere una mostra fotografica, a nuotare nell'oceano e anche a fare una tenda con gli amici di Sterenn. La mia settimana si è conclusa e mi hanno riportato alla stazione. Ho capito tutto quando sono arrivata a Parigi dopo aver avuto problemi con gli autobus e dopo aver preso la metropolitana da sola per la prima volta a Parigi, sono scesa alla mia fermata e quando sono uscita mi sono trovata su un ponte sulla Senna, in quel momento mi sono sentita libera e forte, ce l'avevo fatta.
Tornata in Italia mi sono anche resa conto di quanto mi fosse servito parlare solo inglese per una settimana e mi sono sentita davvero orgogliosa. Una settimana dopo sono andata a prenderla alla stazione e abbiamo trascorso una settimana qui a Ivrea, le ho fatto vivere quello che facevo normalmente, l'ho portata a Torino, a Milano e abbiamo anche trascorso 3 giorni sul lago di Garda con mia madre. Devo dire che nel complesso è stata una bella esperienza che rifarei altre mille volte.
